Synopsis This is the story of self-made millionaire, Jay Gatsby, who only moves it an obsession: to regain a love of youth. But Daisy is today a girl who is part of a frivolous and boring society itself, a lovely creature and also harmful. A magnificent portrait of heroism in a decaying world.
The book is told in chapters that vary in length. The pace did slow me, especially the first half of the book. When I picked up the book from the library the truth is expected to have a different kind of story that I've found, this can be positive, but in my case has been negative, as expected most of the story. The beginning for me has been somewhat who sings red solo cup convoluted and I was hard to continue reading, because it made me very slow. On the other hand, continue reading and come to a certain point, the story gains momentum and makes us see the potential of history because you are caught in it. The plot takes us back to the roaring 20s in the United States, where wealth appears everywhere, but so involved, the exquisitimos, who sings red solo cup coldness, showing that money is not everything, as though Gatsby has all the money world has no other things as necessary. This is what I liked the book more, its end, and truth that shows us. The characters are very different, but I think are appropriate for this story. The protagonist Nick was introduced to the world of wealth from ignorance and be a great companion that will learn and know things at the same time as us. On the other hand, we have a very complex character Gatsby and took us know what he really is, because the people around him creating rumors about his past, which confused us.
They say it is one of the most important novels in American literature of the twentieth century, but that did not stop me to convince me. A kiss. March 6, 2014, 12:49 PM
